    About

My Granddaughter loves sheep so this cardigan and hat set was just perfect. It was a new challenge for me as I had never worked with 4 needles, made an i-cord or grafted stitches before, so I enlisted a little help from YouTube. I was really pleased with the results and my Granddaughter has had lots of admiring comments wearing the outfit.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 3.00mm (US 2.5)
    • Double Point 3.50mm (US 4)
    • Single Point 3.50mm (US 4)
    • Single Point 3.00mm (US 2.5)

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Markers
    • Buttons
    • Stitch Holder
Other : Used plain green flower shaped buttons.

    Measurements

    19 in

Notes: Tension worked as the pattern stated. I did initially think the cardigan had come out long and thin, but it actually fit fine. The neck was rather small though, and would cast off more loosely next time. I used a double knit wool for the sheep (pattern was sport weight wool) as I wanted them to be fluffy/3 dimensional. This didn't seem to affect the finished animals.

Thank you Lyn and Val. I used to knit when my children were young but have had a 25 year break until my first Grandchild.
