    About

After making quite a few baby clothes recently, I fancied making something for my self . This would have been a reasonably straight forward pattern, however I found there to be a number of printing errors in the instructions given for the size I made (XS). As a result this did involve some taking back and reworking things out. Despite the problems, I do like this pattern, it is well designed fits nicely and is comfortable to wear. I used a smaller size needle as my tension seemed a bit on the loose side. I used the suggested yarn. The top feels quite dressy on, the yarn when knitted up has a slight sheen to it and feels smooth/silky. I like sometimes to try out different yarns, this is mainly bamboo with a little bit of silk. I was initially taken in by the colour, which is a striking deep turquoise - blue. People have commented to say how much they like the colour of this yarn.

Notes: My top is close fitting, with out really any positive ease, This was partly intentional as I did not want the top to be too loose. Definitely for myself I wouldn’t want it to be any looser on the neck line. If you want a looser fit as demonstrated in the designer photos, it is perhaps doing a larger size.
