      Hi,
I'm a new knitter, I was hoping for some help with this pattern.

Where it says: "lift yarn strand with right hand needle tip, k1, then take yarn strand over the stitch"

I've understood these instructions to mean a yarn over? Is that correct? And is the yarn to be taken over the stitch on the right hand needle again in the bit after the k1?

I would really appreciate any help!
      Thanks

Hi Shany, I’ll just need to find my pattern and get back to you but from memory you have the right idea :)

Hi Shany, so you lift the yarn strand from in front of the next stitch on your left hand needle and leave it on your right hand needle, then k1, then take the yarn strand over the k1 - sounds a bit odd but that’s what makes the sort of X in the pattern
        Hope that helps, cheers Susan

Susan K, how many balls of yarn did you use to make this scarf. Very pretty.

Hello, I used 4 balls of 14 ply chunky Debbie Bliss Paloma, I bought it when it was on sale as it’s quite expensive but it’s lovely wool, nice to knit with and shows up the pattern really well :)
