    About

I want a subtle but detailed scarf to go complement my dress coat. I started this Noro Chevron pattern on this winter white color of 50% Alpaca + 505 Peruvian Highland Wool. It is a challenging pattern for me as a beginner, but I am beginning to like it as the pattern emerges. 1-4-18: It never got cold enough last winter, and I had terrible times getting the pattern right - plus the first 8 1/2 inches were a mess, and I did not know how to fix that.
This year, I discovered www.TricksyKnitter.com by Megan, and in her Knitting/ExpertKnitting/How to Undo Your Knitting article, I found out how to put in a lifeline in already knitted fabric, cut the mistaken 8 1/2 “ of knitting off, unravel it, and use it for finishing off and extending the other unfinished end. The process was extremely fiddly, but I am delighted with the results. When people look at a scarf, they always pick up the end, and now it no longer is gruesome. THIS IS AN AMAZING SAVE, I included the brutal picture of the cut
