    About

I had a sudden urge to try my hand at knitting for the first time in my life only 2 months ago whilst visiting my daughter in London. Her birthday was coming up and I was keen to make something with my hands and surprise her. Within days, I bought the necessary tools and started mastering the basics. I spent all day-time watching online tutorials, looking through endless number of patterns and knitting knitting knitting. Once I felt comfortable enough to start on the birthday present, I found a beautiful yarn in the lovely shade of cream and had a clear idea of a unique pattern for a scarf with tossles and a hat in my mind. The birthday day was fast approaching and given that I was staying with my daughter I had to knit the scarf and hat in secret. That meant I was putting an alarm clock for 4am and knitting for a few good hours until sunrise. The result was ready within 1 week and a very happy and proud daughter is wearing it daily now :-). I am also a keen knitter now!
