    About

I started this shawl when I had family in the hospital in 2013. It got put away for awhile and I now plan on finishing it this month as I have designated January as UFO month! The month of finishing.

Thank you very much! I just love the colors too. It was so much fun to see each color that came out of the skein next.

@Mary S: I agree! It's gotten to where all I want to use is a long variegated yarn. I love this yarn, even if it can be a pain ... teaches me not to make so many mistakes. LOL! I found a color the other day at Michael's called Tealberry and another called Polo. Loved both! Looked to see if there was anything else out I didn't know about. Tealberry wasn't listed. Wonder if it's actually new or very old? Sounds familiar though. Hmmm. Turquoise, plum, gray, and cream. Should be pretty!!!

How did you block your shawl, if you don't mind my being nosey? I cheated ... threw them in the HD on Delicate and dried on Low. Yours turned out much nicer! I abandoned the crochet hooks for many years until I picked them back up again two years ago. Had to learn all over again as I hadn't crocheted since I was a teenager. Finally taught myself to understand written patterns at 54! Realizing I had ADHD as an adult helped tremendously. How I skied by through school so well is beyond me?!! Thanks for li

I filled my washer with rinse water and then turn off so I could soak. I soaked the shawl in the water with a little soap for about 30 minutes. I then, on delicate setting of the washer, spun out the rinse water. I placed the shawl on a table flat to dry. I only pinned down the very tip with a few pins.

@Mary S: Thank you so much! Your explanation is easy! I have heard some complicated ones and those make me cringe...but the effort is worth it by the way they come out!!! I just like to be lazy and crochet these days. I had too much fun in my youth riding Quarter Horses in competitions and my body now pays for all the fun. Ah, those were the days ...

Many thanks! Greatly appreciated!!! Looked at your knitting and it's so nice! LLve, love, love those socks!
