Hi lovely scarf. was the garter stitch side included with your pattern or did you add it?? I,ve made the scarf but minedoesn't have that bit. Please could you tell me how to add it on.Many thanks Nicky
Hi Nicky, did you use the same pattern as me? The garter stitch edge is part of the instructions. This is a pattern translated from German and the instructions are not the clearest. The garter edge starts at the end of section 3 / chart C when you begin to add one stitch (kbf) on alternate rows.
This means you knit the pattern section, place a marker, garter stitch startingkfb, this means you add a stitch every second row until your scarf is 12 complete patterns long.
Read page 2 of the pattern where you’ll find the instructions of how to proceed once the cable pattern is completed. Very confusing. I managed to guess what to do by looking at the pics, then found the page 2 info when I was almost finished.
Sorry for the long reply but I hope this helps.
@Agnes B: Hi Agnes, thanks so much for replying, I misread the instructions didn,t realise that section C is worked 12 times. All sorted now! Many, many, thanks for your help. Happy Knitmas!Nicky
