Last year was not the best year for me. Carpal tunnel syndrome was making it very difficult to use my hands for any length of time and preventing me from working. As I earn my living as a graphic artist, this condition was dramatically affecting my physical and emotional health, as well as my income! When a close family friend had his first (and happily unexpected)child at 48 I wanted to get the family a special gift. Not having money to spend, I came across this pattern, as well as Poochie Puppy and Purrrfect Kitty on your website. They were easy to make in small sessions, and as a trio worked well together. Happily, the patterns required a yarn that I had lots of in my stash. I used an old t-shirt and a left over iron-on transfer. A basket and blankie from the dollar store completed the project. The gift was finished for a grand total of $4.00! I can't tell you how uplifting it was to be able to present the family with such a special present for their new arrival!
