    About

Just finished wrapping up this design. It is for a little seamless top down cardigan, is an easy knit, worked in garter stitch with a simple, effective raglan pattern which adds just enough interest when knitting. Pattern also comes with a schematic.

Hello Vera, I am having difficulty with the sleeve component of the pattern. The pic shows garter stitch, however the pattern say K 1 row, P 1 row which is not garter stitch. It says to repeat rows 1&2 four more times, then begin casting off??
Please help, are there missing instructions.

        Hi Anna
As the sleeves are knitted in the round, to achieve the garter stitch pattern you will need to knit one row and then purl one row. If you have worked out how to knit the sleeves flat (instructions on how to work this is not included in this pattern), you will need to knit all the rows.
Hope this has helped. I do know some knitters do not like knitting in the round, so I have included instructions for both knitting sleeves flat and in the round in a lot of my recently released patterns.

I just wanted to let you know that I am so happy to find that this pattern also comes in larger sizes. My two grand daughters are now 3 and 5, and so often I wish I could knit your patterns [that I love] for them, but sadly they are too big for most of them now!

      Hi Gail
Yes, double pointed needles are used for the sleeves, however you could also use the Magic Loop method. Currently lots of tutorials on the webs.

Thanks for your great feedback. I am currently looking into adding a few more sizes, not too sure when this will happen, can't promise any dates. I do have quite a few patterns that are simple, and would suit older children. If you type in Oge Knitwear Designs, you should get a link to all my patterns.
      Cheers

Do you have similar designs for ages 3-7 years. I am purchasing this pattern for our young grand children and would love to make it for my older grand children too. I adore this simple and effective design.
