This piece is soooo versatile. I made it so that the simple lace pattern acts as a thousand choices of buttonhole, so that it can be configured in loads and loads of ways. The pattern even contains some instructions on how to acheive some of the looks. Plus this is really versatile when it comes to yarns - the simple lace lends itself really well to thick and thin and multicoloured yarns as well as plain yarns. Lots of extra info in the patern for those who are new to lace knitting - this one is ideal for a lace beginner.
