Thanks Christine! I'm a big fan of folded over neckband - I feel like it looks a bit more polished. I've used it before for a top down sweater (my Improv + Flax project) and it works perfectly! You work a normal cast on, and when you're ready to work the neck you pick up stitches from the cast on, work the ribbing for double the height you want, and either bind off loosely and stitch down, or whip stitch down the live stitches. I think it actually works better done that way than knitting the neckband straight onto the sweater like I did here, because the cast on row gives a lot more structure to the neck. Hope that helps!
