    About

I wanted to do a gradient shawl, and Steven West's boneyard shawl pattern is perfect for this ball of hand--dyed red-to-black silk yarn from Australia... finally got round to starting it on New Year's Eve, knitting through the chimes ringing in the new year; the pattern is dead easy so it will be my knit-while-watching-TV project all through January, the bright colour is just what I need...
27/1 - almost finished - just enough thread left for the garter stitch border; the colour changes fast now the rows are so long, each row is visibly darker than the last

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 3.50mm (US 4) 100cm

    Measurements

    One Size

Notes: my 100g (400 metres) ball of silk has produced a shawl which measures just under 124 cm along the top edge, and 91cm deep (top edge to lowest point)
