She saw one for sale on Etsy, so I said I would make one for her......the only reason it took so long is that I always have so many things on the go at the same time....a bit of a butterfly!

I am trying to reply to everyone's lovely comments, but the comment box just flashes up and disappears! Not sure if it's me or the site....hopefully the latter.....to Colleen, I hadn't noticed that the Catania was 5 ply, I just liked it and didn,t seem to have any problems...I think the finished kangaroo was about 12 or 13 inches tall....hope this helps! This is so adorable. Would love to have a go making this. Is it easy to do? I'm fairly new to knitting.

Hello Debra, thanks so much for the lovely comment. Just noticed you said you are fairly new to knitting....this is crocheted, but it is fairly easy to do, and the creator provides a couple of videos for the 'trickier ' bits such as joining the legs etc...I really enjoyed making it, and am in the process of making the Rat version, which is similar. There are good 'how to' YouTube videos on crochet which are easy to follow ????
