HI everyone,
I buy or am given oddments of wool and I knit them up into hats, scarves and blankets. The Blankets I donate via a friend to give to a homeless dogs charity Some they use for the Kennels and others they sell to raise funds for running the kennels etc. The hats and gloves I sell at work to raise funds for a local scout Group I am treasure for.
Why??
cause if I am knitting or crocheting at night whilst hubby is on shift I am not snacking or bored! It helps to relax me after a stressful day at work and prevents that stress resulting in binge eating later at home! Because they are smaller projects its something I can do without having to follow complicated patterns so I won't get fed up cause its taking too long (Patience is not a virtue I hold!)and I get to see the results pretty quickly. I also get a really good feeling that its helping in a little way!
