*This shawl was inspired by the Purple Leaf Plum Tree whose leaves grow in a rounded vase shape into a symmetrical dense canopy. Fragrant light purple to almost white flowers blossom in early Spring before the leaves emerge attracting bees. The pattern is delicate yet dense, providing just enough warmth on those cool Summer evenings. The chosen yarn for the sample is Desert Vista Dyeworks Vior Gradiant in the Plum colorway. The gradiant and vibrant toning lends to a look with excellent stitch definition and drape. The size and shape of the shawl lends itself to be worn either traditionally or draped in a number of ways around the neck, enhancing any outfit for any occasion.*
