Product Details
This flexible pattern is written for two different yarn weights (DK and Sport) and gauges. Instructions for both gauges result in shawls with similar dimensions. The shawl features a garter edge with a stockinette center and is shaped with short rows. The pattern was developed using both handspun DK weight yarn and Madelinetosh Pashmina (Sport weight), but yarn substitutions will work fine with this basic, simple crescent shawl.
This pattern has been independently reviewed be a qualified technical editor. The Rainland pattern includes written instructions and a clear, professional design layout. Measurements are provided in both English and metric units.
The bottom garter edge is knit first, followed by the stockinette middle. Simple wrap-and-turn style short rows create the crescent shape. If you are new to short rows, don’t fear.
