Reversibly Cabled Scarf
Completed scarf is about 5 feet long and 7 inches wide.
Gauge in stockinette on size 11 needles is 14 sts/4 inches.
Reversible cables are worked on needles several sizes larger than typical for the yarn. The smaller of the two needle sizes is used to control cable flare at the beginning and end of the scarf. The scarf could be knit with a lighter yarn weight and smaller needles, which would result in a narrower scarf.
