Product Details
This hat pattern is for one size to fit a child or an average lady with head circumference of 21"-23". If you use a thinner yarn and smaller needles, you will get a smaller hat size.
The hat is made on straight needles and has a seam.
Yarn used: #4 medium worsted yarn (10ply)
Needles used: US. #7(4.5mm) straight needles for the brim only and US # 9 (5.5mm) straight needles
Gauge: ~ 4 sts, ~ 5 rows per 1” on #9 needles
~ 4.5 sts, ~ 6 rows per 1” on #7 needles
If you would like to make it on circular needles, you would need to eliminate the 1st and the last sts of every row as they are for the seam, and make some changes for the even rounds and they will be on the right side of work.
