Snorri Thorfinnsson was the first known non-native child born in the Americas, in the early 11th century, the son of Viking explorers in Vinland, on the eastern coast of Canada. His story is told in the Vinland Sagas. I designed this hat for my Viking husband (who is not actually a Viking at all).
Snorri is knitted from the bottom up. Colorwork motifs are worked from a chart, and decreases worked to mimic sewn seams.
