Snowflakes for Adrienne Hat
The Snowflakes for Adrienne Hat was designed to accompany the Snowflakes for Adrienne Mitts, which were originally designed as a gift for a friend, who wanted something blue. The motifs are based on traditional Fair isle patterns and the ribbing is traditional corrugated ribbing. The Hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The pattern includes colour charts.
The yarn used is is a 100% Shetland 2ply jumperweight yarn, produced in Shetland. A 4ply yarn with a high wool content would also work well.
There should be enough yarn left to knit the matching fingerless mitts (available in a separate pattern) if you should wish to do so. However knitting the large hat and the medium or large mitts will use up almost 50g of the MC, so depending on knitting style it is possible you may require a third ball.
- working in the round
- working with two yarns at the same time using the stranded technique
- ability to read a chart (the colourwork pattern is charted only)
