‘Springtime Shoots’ is a slightly slouchy, almost-a-cloche which is knit in the round. It is the 4ply/Fingering weight version of Shoots Beanie DK and is the perfect hat for Spring or Autumn weather. It is knit from the bottom up, starting with a short introduction to the traveling leaf lace pattern as the inside of the brim. The brim is then completed in stocking stitch, with a delicate picot edge, and turned up and attached to form a snuggly double layer. The body of the hat is knit in this simple, easy to keep track of, lace pattern. Crown is decreased while maintaining the lace - you will need to know how to work small circumference knitting in the round - either using magic loop or double pointed needles.
