Squigglez is a unisex sock that has traveling in mind and features a central knit thru the back loop column that moves to and fro down the leg picking up its neighboring columns along the way until all the columns are traveling. The pattern can be worked one of three ways: Original, featuring off-set traveling columns and an unusual gusset; Alternative, featuring synchronized traveling columns and an unusual gusset; and finally K.I.S.S. (Keeping It Simple Squigglez) which has synchronized traveling columns and a traditional heel flap and gusset. The unusual gusset allows you to carry the pattern all the way around the gusset and requires no picking up of stitches instead you’ll work just one giant heel turn to return back to your original stitch count. Although the pattern is not written for two colors it looks wonderful that way - just work your purl stitches in one color and your knit thru the back loop stitches in another (be sure to adjust your gauge accordingly).
