Introducing The Oban Sweater. Easily my favorite thing I've ever knit.  These simple bold cables are a joy to work and really stand out in a beautiful, classic worsted weight wool.

Shown worn with 6"/15.25cm of positive ease at bust.  Knit in pieces and seamed.  Notes are in the pattern on how to modify for width, length or sleeve fit. Cables are both charted and written.

Notes
I suggest a worsted weight yarn in a heather, tweed, solid or a subtly vareigated semi solid, preferably in a wool fiber. without too much weight.

A beautiful pattern. It took a bit of reading to get my head round, but made more sense when I started knitting. The yarn seems to be working fine with this pattern. I’m only 1/4 of the way up the first sleeve, but it’s a beautiful (& very easy) cable and will be a lovely thick jumper.
