Twelfth Knit is a doubly-thick cowl inspired by the brocade patterns of the Elizabethan Period and from a costume worn by actor Marc Rylance in his performance in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.
Using the same colorwork pattern as the [Feste Hat], a discount of $3 is automatically offered if you purchase both patterns. You do not need to purchase both at the same time to get the discount. For example, if you have already purchased Twelfth Knit, you may purchase Feste for only $2. The discount will be applied in your cart at time of payment. No code is necessary.
Worked entirely in the round, the outer colorwork pattern is worked first, followed by a purl round and a simple, inner colorwork pattern. The inner pattern is folded inward, and the two ends are sewn to each other.
Make it in 2 colors with high contrast for a brighter look (see the teal & gold cowl at left), or in 2 colors with less contrast (see the red cowl above) to give the cowl a softer vibe.
