Cables always look so amazing. The all-over cable pattern and moss-stitch lends simplicity to the design. My father always wore knitted ties - a Professor of English and Philosophy (in Malawi, E. Africa and London, UK). This tie was designed in a celebration and in honour of an exceptionally clever and entertaining man. In his later years he painted Picassoesque pictures, pruned his roses and continued to complete The Times newspaper crossword without filling in the clues. He was loved and is deeply missed.
