My current "project" is finishing projects! I have about 12 projects midway through and dozens that I've swatched and sketched ideas for, and almost none finished. So now I don't get to buy yarn unless I finish a project--I foresee lots of hats and scarves and bulky knits in my future because they're done quicker....I love very fine yarns, knitting lace, anything with interest or a challenge, like cables, or color, or texture--I'm not a zen contemplative knitter!

My go-to project is usually some kind of shawl, or scarf especially lace. I love the feel of the fine yarn, playing with lace patterns, and I can make something with only one or two skeins of yarn so I can afford something really luxurious. Plus it means I can avoid dealing with finicky stuff like fitting, finishing and so on. But in order to make garments that actually fit my curved and pear-shaped body, I'm finally ready to deal with the finishing/fitting/picking up stitches etc.
