I live in Wester Ross, in the Highlands of Scotland. I am a museum curator. I love knitting, but I am usually very busy and tend to do it when I am doing something else - listening to the radio, reading etc. So I tend to prefer projects that do not require a lot of concentration. I knit a lot of socks, and recently knitted a pair of kilt socks in our local, traditional pattern. It required more concentration than I am usually capable of - but I enjoyed it and was really pleased with the result. I also learned to spin recently - actually I am still learning.
