I knitted my first garment at 11 years old. I have been knitting since I was 6 or 7. We didn't have a TV for a long time and the family used to sit around in the lounge and knit Peggy squares for blankets for the Red Cross. I was the knitter in the family my mum and sister completed crochet projects. I've always knitted garments for all the family and for those families who don't have home knitting done for them. A lot of my knitting are give aways, that's after I've knitted for my grand children 13 of them.
