I was desperate for my mum to teach me to knit when I was 8 years old. Being a left hander, my poor mum tried to teach me left handed. She was right handed and after tying herself in knots, she proclaimed that if I wanted to knit, it would have to be right handed! I mastered it. I knitted for my children and then life got in the way. Thank goodness grandchildren came along and I fell back in love with knitting. Now, I cannot wait to pick up my needles after work and in any spare time I have.
