Gosford, Australia
I’ve lived on the Central Coast of NSW in Australia all of my life. I come from an extremely crafty family and from the time I could pick up a needle I’ve been doing some form of craft or another.
I’ve been crocheting for 28 years now, my grandmother taught me when I was 7 years old. I never had alot of time for it though as when I finished school I fell pregnant and was raising a severely disabled child and working as a nurse. I met my amazing wife and step daughter in 2012 and we were married in 2013. In late 2016 whilst stopped at red light another car crashed into mine at over 70kmh. This resulted in my spine herniating in 4 places and losing the use of my legs. I’ve had 1 surgery so far but am facing many more in the future. I was told I had less than 10 years before I would be permanently in a wheelchair, I am now determined and fighting as hard as I can to beat those odds.
It was at this point that I took crocheting and designing up full tine to keep me busy and not go insane
