map-pin Frome, United Kingdom

I learned to knit, aged 5, at school, back in the days when such things were on the curriculum - started with dishcloths and progressed through dolls' clothes to where I am now (via school jumpers etc). Where I am now is that I love knitting aran, not too good at fair-isle and have recently discovered the delights of knitting small things for my grandson. My current project is a flock (is that the right word) of dinosaurs for him, to be followed by a killer whale ... the joys of being a grandparent! The project in my profile pic was a batch of hats for my friend to take to her educational project in Rwanda. I loved putting the colours together and just knitting according to where the mood took me - freestyle colouring and it meant I got to use up lots of those little left-over bits.
I've never knitted socks, never having been drawn to the double-pointed world, also can't really crochet, being left-handed.
