I feel as if I've been knitting all my life. Although mum was - and still is - a great knitter, it was dad who originally taught me to knit - a very lopsided scarf for my teddy bear. And I don't think I've ever seen him with a pair of needles in his hands since! I really love knitting Aran sweaters and have done the occasional Fair Isle project. My one problem is - I hate sewing the garments up - so I'm now knitting socks!
