Have been knitting on and off since my teens. After a long absence from the needles, took them up again last year when I learned a great nephew was on the way. Since then, I have made numerous items of baby clothing and toys for him. Last year, made all the nieces and nephews Christmas ornaments to go with their gifts, as well as ornaments for all at the table for Christmas dinner. Made a number of Izzy dolls for charity. Also have been making adult size sweaters for relatives (5 in the last year). Maybe one of these days, I'll get a chance to make something for myself, although I really enjoy giving my creations to others. I am allergic to wool, so need to work with cottons or synthetics so this limits my choices somewhat, but I always seem to have something on the go these days.

Short update -- I have found that I can work with yarns that are a wool/synthetic blend without experiencing a reaction. This opens up lots of new possibilities!
