Marie is a successful creative, independent knitwear designer with a renowned reputation for beautiful, patterned hand knit and crochet designs. Marie started her design company in 2013 whilst still Head Designer for hand knit brand, Rowan. In 2014, Marie suffered a heart attack which ended her career with Rowan. Whilst recovering and with the support of Rowan, Marie concentrated on growing her business by first self publishing books using Rowan yarns. Now working completely independently, she produces her own yarn BRITISH BREEDS, as well as publications, kits and holds regular workshops in rural Leicestershire and workshop holidays throughout the UK. Marie continues to have a close working relationship with Jamieson’s of Shetland, Rowan and other British yarn companies.
