The Westmorland Red Squirrel Society (WRSS) aims to raise awareness about the threats to Britain's endangered red squirrel population. The society works with members and volunteers, the local community and conservation organisations towards eliminating those threats. The aim is to ensure that red squirrels remain an intrinsic and valued part of our landscape in South East Cumbria (English Lake District), enhancing biodiversity and adding to general well-being, not only for now but for generations to come.
