I became a knitting designer 5 years ago after working in Further Education for most of my life. I have been very fortunate that Search Press saw me at a Knitting Show and commissioned me to design my first book for the 20 to Make Series and since then I have designed 5 other books and am just starting work on my 7th which will be on Fair Isle knitting.
I have recently moved to East Sussex from London and am beginning to establish myself in the community and hope to start running workshops at my house as well as continuing to run them at Alexandra Palace, Olympia and Harrogate Knitting shows.
I am really inspired by colours in the environment and textures as well as Art and Nature.
I love going to the cinema and theatre, reading and walking. Most of my knitting is done in the evening but you may spot me in a local cafe or on a train knitting away.
I love natural fibres and use Roosters and UK Alpaca yarns frequently.
