Whip it! has just a little bit of slouch.
The brim, in a woven type stitch pattern, will snug your ears comfortably. A simple textured stitch pattern makes the crown decreases almost invisible. For a slouchier effect, use bigger needles to work the crown.

a US 4 (3.5 mm) dpn set – you can also use your prefered method to knit in the round
11 stitch markers or less, depending on the method you are using to knit in the round
