I love to knit. Idle hands are the devils workshop my Grandmother used to say. I don't remember learning to knit. I spent hours with Grammie growing up and was always fascinated by her hands as she knit and crocheted. I only ever wore mittens that she knit for me. Somehow they were always warmer. She had the patience to crochet fine lace, tablecloths and granny square blankets. When I use my hands to knit and crochet I can still feel her hands guiding my hands with each stitch.
I love radical knitting. Using old patterns with updated hand dyed small batch yarns. I support my LYS and local yarn suppliers.
Knitting provides a link to my past with a link to the future as I create for my children and their children.
