I've knitted since I was a child, having learnt from my mum. I dabbled in crochet as well but never really took to that. When my children were young, I bought my first sewing machine and enjoyed learning to sew their clothes. There was a definite lull in activity until I retired and had grand children to knit for! I've really enjoyed getting back into projects for them.
My current learning is with quilting and machine embroidery which I enjoy, but knitting remains my first love and is easier to have on your lap in the evening!
