Auntie taught me basic crochet as a kid but I don't do it much. I prefer knitting, which mum thought me the basics of around 45 years ago and said I would never have the patience to finish anything! Have also learnt a bit of tatting and struggled with teaching myself bobbin lace. Not so practical as knitting, although I am rather addicted to lace knitting......
