I was taught how to knit at the age of six by my mum - she's right-handed and I'm left-handed. I had no problems in learning how to knit from her, nor did she have any problems in teaching me. I've been knitting on and off since I was at Primary School, then took it up seriously in the 1980s, when there was a real craze for "picture knit" jumpers - does anyone remember the Patricia Roberts picture knits from that decade? In the last few months I've returned to knitting as a hobby once again, after a break of nearly three decades and am really enjoying it.
