Sarah Y

map-pin Ealing, United Kingdom

I don't really have a favourite yarn, but as I learnt to knit as a child and then as an outlet during my university years, I tend to choose cheap acrylics! I know some of you probably shudder at the thought, but most of the projects I undertake are of the "I wonder if I can do this..." category, so cheap is better in case I end up frogging the whole thing! I assure you, on the rare occasions I do start projects with patterns, or a clear idea of what I'm actually doing, I shell out for the softer yarns - I'm a big fan of cotton as I have yet to perfect the whole laundry thing.
My ongoing project is a blanket of patches - a patch for each film I watch this year! (Oh yeah, I'm a filmmaker.) If you want to see that in detail you can check out my tumblr, or the instagram tag #2017inyarn
