Probably not the usual intro to this hobby - Dad taught me how to crochet as a kid, when he'd work up nets out of rope for our sailboats (grew up racing competitively in regattas around the country as his crew.) Eventually made the switch to yarn, (thanks Mom) and later in life took it up legitimately as a hobby and creative outlet.
I really dig working up hats, scarves, cowls, afghans, pillows & more; creating my own designs and/or new ideas and color combos, and 'painting with yarn' as a friend calls it.
So impressed with the talent and creativity here along with all the great yarn offered up by LoveCrafts!
