I'm a retired person with a permanent balance problem so I haven't knit for years because looking down for more than a second or two is unpleasant. However, I have discovered that if I knit something quite repetitive where I can memorise the pattern and not have to look at my needles too often, that I can knit away quite comfortably. Sewing up, however, is an absolutely pain but it has to be done! :D Many years ago I would design my own knitwear and easily copy the designs of others, but now I am just happy to knit away in front of the TV using a pattern. It's very therapeutic! :)
